Low-noise rail vehicles are a key concern, primarily for environmental reasons and to ensure passenger comfort. Furthermore, legal requirements must be met. It is therefore essential for vehicle manufacturers to take noise emissions into account during vehicle development. LogoMotive GmbH has developed a method for carrying out acoustic simulations at a very early stage of vehicle development, identifying noise sources and optimising them. Our colleague Andreas Hegendörfer presented how this works at this year’s Rail Vehicle Conference in Dresden. LogoSound thus opens up significant cost-saving potential for our customers, as costly adjustments in late development phases or even during the production phase can be avoided.
